Sports: Golden State and Boston - Unfinished Business

The 2022 NBA season was a rollercoaster ride featuring intensity, competitiveness, and drama around the league. The Golden State Warriors won the 2022 championship, cementing Stephen Curry as one of the greatest to ever play the game of basketball.

Stephen Curry is an eight-time NBA All-Star and eight-time All-NBA selection, including four times on the first team, he has been named the NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) twice, has won four NBA championships, an NBA Finals MVP Award, and an NBA All-Star Game MVP Award. As Curry’s legacy continues to build, fans look to hop on the Warriors bandwagon and relish in what is anticipated to be another successful season in 2023.

With the Warriors in focus, teams around the league are spending the off-season brainstorming ways to shut them down in 2023. Look no further than the 2022 Eastern Conference Champion Boston Celtics, who lost to the Warriors in the championship round.

Founded in 1946 as one of the league's original eight teams, the Celtics play their home games at TD Garden, which they share with the National Hockey League's Boston Bruins. The Celtics are one of the most successful basketball teams in NBA history. The franchise is one of two teams with 17 NBA Championships, the other franchise being the Los Angeles Lakers.

With free agency just underway, the C’s added forward Danilo Gallinari and guard Malcolm Brogdon to their roster. Both Gallinari and Brogdon are exceptional role players that can compliment the Celtics key All Stars Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

Most analysts would agree that it is only a matter of time before we see more off-season headlines from the 2022 runner-up Celtics. Having come so close to a championship just a few months ago, the Celtics plan to build on the success they had last season. Look for Boston to go into the 2023 season with some unfinished business.
